Material: 40% 22 micron virgin fiber sourced from Australia and 60% recycled polyester that is GSR Certified and made 100% from post consumer plastic bottles.

What's the difference between upcycled and recycled? Well, we make a distinction because the amount of energy put into one or the other can vary drastically. Generally, upcycling uses less as you are pushing one type of use for the same thing up into another chain of usage ie. the upcycled yarn that is made from discarded clothing scraps (technically, just knit yarn) can be processed using minimal energy, and no chemicals or dyes, back into yarn. For our purposes recycling is when something such as plastic bottles is turned into an item like polyester yarn that is completely new, and may create a carbon footprint in the process. both upcycling and recycling have their pros and cons.
